  •  Not showing for your appointment: If you do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged the full cost of the session.

  •  Arrival time: Please arrive five minutes early for your appointment to get situated. The time I set aside for your appointment is completely yours. If you are late to your session, you are missing out on your massage time. The session will end at the scheduled time and you will be billed full amount of session.

  • Please arrive clean and free of odors, perfumes, essential oils, smoke, etc. Your session may be canceled and billed for the full amount.

  • Massage is strictly nonsexual: Massage sessions are strictly nonsexual. Any suggestive statements or actions will result in immediate termination of the session wherein the client pays the full cost of the session. Additionally this will result in termination of the professional therapeutic relationship. The Washington Board of Massage and law enforcement will be notified if deemed appropriate.

  • I am here to be of service, but I am not a servant. Bad behavior will not be tolerated for any reason. If you are rude, verbally aggressive, or in any way threatening, the session will be terminated at the full cost of the session.

  • This is an in home practice with two well trained dogs that are support animals for my disabled daughter. Please do not engage or pet the animals for any reason, they are trained to make no contact and it is expected that you do not either.

  • Massage can be powerful: While massage is conducted in a supported and somewhat intimate environment, it is not a romantic situation. Massage can be healing, can facilitate emotional responses, and have profound effects on the body. It is not a replacement for professional counseling nor is it anything other than a professional therapeutic relationship and should never be misconstrued as such. Should you have any confusion as to what you are feeling, it must be disclosed immediately to me.

  •  I am not a doctor and only occasionally a miracle worker: Massage serves as a therapeutic tool to enhance wellbeing. Massage is not a substitute for medical treatment. Massage therapists are not qualified to diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment or perform spinal/skeletal manipulations. Any information imparted by the therapist in the course of treatment should not be construed as such.

  •  If I cancel your appointment: I hope I never have to cancel, but emergencies and illness happen. This is a physically demanding job and requires my full presence. Should the occasion arise that I fall ill I will attempt to call or text first thing in the morning to cancel any appointments.

  • Times when massage is not beneficial: If a client presents with signs and/or symptoms of illness that contraindicate massage (fever, undiagnosed rash, contagious infection), the session will be rescheduled. This is to protect the health of both the client and the therapist.

  • Health Intake form: To ensure safe, customized sessions, the client must fill out a health intake form before treatment. It is the client's responsibility to relay all health information so that I can modify the treatment plan where necessary.

  • Confidentiality: The client's records and sessions will be kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone without the client's written consent. I understand that massage therapy is provided for stress reduction, relaxation, relief from muscular tension, and improvement of circulation and energy flow.

  • If I experience pain or discomfort during the session, I will immediately inform my therapist so that pressure/strokes can be adjusted to my level of comfort. I will not hold my therapist responsible for any pain or discomfort I experience during or after the session.

  • I affirm that I have notified my therapist of all known medical conditions, including pregnancy, and injuries.

  • I agree to inform the therapist of any changes in my health and medical condition. I understand that there shall be no liability on the therapist’s part should I forget to do so.

  • I understand that, because massage therapy work involves maintained touch and close physical proximity over an extended period of time, there may be an elevated risk of disease transmission, including COVID-19.

  • By signing this release, I hereby waive and release my therapist from any and all liability, past, present, and future relating to massage therapy and bodywork.
